It seems like only yesterday, when my two daughters, Christine and Cindy, were waiting for the school bus to arrive on that first day. Tightly clutched in her right hand was Cindy's new lunch box. She looked a little worried, and I wondered what fears were racing through her tiny little mind. Her older sister's reassuring hand on her shoulder seemed to dispel her fears. Finally, the school bus arrived, and the doors opened. Cindy slowly climbed the steps, and, when she had reached the top, she quickly turned around, smiled, and waved goodbye. As the school bus slowly drove away, I could feel the warmth of the tears rolling down my cheek.

Years have come and gone, and both my daughters have graduated from their respective universities. Christine, my older daughter, is married and, 2 1/2 years ago, presented us with a special gift from God, Sierra, our first grandchild. And time marches on.

Cindy, my younger daughter, who just recently graduated from the university, is searching for a job. And I wonder what fears are again racing through her mind as she is waiting again. Her sister's reassuring hand no longer nearby, she is forced to face the future alone. Yet, she is not alone. God is with her, as He is with us, continuously guiding and watching over us. And time marches on.

Psalm 121:8 – The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever. (NASB)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for time: time for healing, time for growing, time for returning to you. Thank you for being with us during all times, always. Amen.
