Send Out The Signal

Psalm 143:8 – Cause me to hear your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You. (AMP)

I was reading an article about a system that can track one's car and knows its exact position. It can also give audible directions to lead one to where it is one wishes to go.

Thinking back, I would suppose one of the first locating signals sent out was radar that detected enemy planes during the Second World War. Today, there are many new things on the market that can send and receive such signals — things like our cell phones, the global positioning system used on planes to show the way across the skies, and sonar used by sailing vessels to measure depth and keep the ships from running aground.

As believers, we have something else — something that doesn't cost anything monetarily, but will give direction, along with depth and insight. There is nothing hidden, no batteries to go dead, no chips to replace, and no viruses to destroy.

All power is given to us by an almighty God, Who not only gives direction in His Word, the Bible, but also gives us the depth and insight we so desire to have. It speaks to us about what it is He wants from us and where it is He wishes us to go.

God's Word sends out the signal for us to receive, and in turn, we can send that signal out to others.

John 15:26 – When the Counsellor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. (NIV)

Prayer: Almighty God, as we journey receiving Your signal, deepen our insight so that we will be enabled to send out to others Your Word given to us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Show us the way in which we should live and the proper direction in which we should travel. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
