Paths Of Life

1 Kings 2:3 – Do what God tells you. Walk in the paths he shows you: Follow the life-map absolutely, keep an eye out for the signposts, his course for life set out in the revelation to Moses; then you'll get on well in whatever you do and wherever you go. (MSG)

As we walk through life, the Lord gives us many paths from which to choose. Some paths lead us along a happy trail; others are more serious and sometimes more difficult to understand.

Recently, I found myself facing panic attacks at times, as I left the house. They didn't happen every time I went out, so that made it a bit more unnerving — not knowing when or if they would happen. This path that I seemed to be on went on for a number of months, until I was able to work through some events in my life from the past. Looking back, I see that I did try to face this alone, and at times, I would not or could not call upon the Name above all names to help me.

Whether we choose to take paths in the companionship of the Lord or to go it on our own, we still face paths of choice. Jesus is with us on these paths, whether we recognize it or not. Looking back, I can say that when I did go out, I would meet people whom I knew, in the stores. At times, this would help me get through — and I believe these encounters were interventions into my life, arranged by the Lord.

2 John 1:3 – Let grace, mercy, and peace be with us in truth and love from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, Son of the Father! (MSG)

Prayer: Dear Jesus, we thank You that You send people across our paths to support us and love us on Your behalf. Help us all to be ambassadors to each other, sharing Your love and support with all we meet. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
