Time Flies

It has been quite some time since I sat down and started writing again. I was leafing through my journal and noticed similarities in my thought pattern and entries:

March 4, 2015 – It has been a long time since I made myself to take time and write. There are always other things that rob me of my time for me to just sit down, spend time in prayer, and reflect. Spending quality time with my Creator through reading my Bible and then listening for God's voice is so important, but other stuff kept me from doing this. I was wondering why my inspiration to write wasn't there. I was searching and not finding anything to write about and I gave up. I prayed asking God why I wasn't "seeing" or "hearing". But there was nothing but silence. Nudges of quality time in reading and reflecting on God's Word kept haunting me, but my time was filled with other things, and so time flew by.

April 25, 2015 – It has been a very long time since I spent time writing, praying and just being silent and trying to hear God's still small voice.

There has been a lot going on in my life since those entries. I was busy looking after an ailing mother, and a husband who had had a stroke almost six years ago and has just recently been diagnosed with the onset of Alzheimers. I found myself too busy to relax and have some "me and God" time.

Is there something in your life right now that is preventing you from spending time with your Creator? Do you find it hard to cope right now? God is faithful and waits patiently for His children to return to Him and ask for help once again.

God invites us to come to Him with our troubles, our questions, our fears, our doubts, and our guilt. He will forgive our tardiness and will receive us again with open arms.

Psalm 68:19 – Praise be to the Lord, to God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens. (NIV)

Prayer: Lord, we come to You and ask for Your forgiveness again. Help us to lean on You and share our burdens with the One Who offers to carry them. Fill us again with hope and love. Give us the assurance that You are in control and that everything will work out as it should. Amen.

    Blessings Rosemary.

    Thinking of you dear friend.

Wait always for the small quiet voice to speak to you.

Rosemary, thank you. I look forward to your messages in the future – when you have time!
    Blessings.

Rosemary, it is good to hear from you again as we enjoyed your writings and messages. So sorry to hear of your troubles. You had mentioned them in your earlier submissions but we have wondered how you were fairing.
    God bless you.

Thank you, Rosemary, for writing. Taking care of two loved ones who are ill is not only time consuming but “heart” consuming as well. Know you are a blessing in their lives. Sometimes all we can do is keep on keeping on. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
    Blessings.

Thank you Rosemary for your devotion today. I am sitting in that place.
With Summer Bible Camp looming soon; looking after young grandchildren and life I am sorely missing my time with God. Thank you for helping me get back on track with what’s most important in my life.
    Blessings.

Thank you Rosemary for the devotional today. As I reflected on it, I found myself thinking that this was me. As I age, I find it more and more difficult to take the time to be with my Jesus. Lord I ask forgiveness for the times when I think I am busy doing nothing and forget to spend time with you.
I encourage you to keep on keeping on with your writing.
    God bless.

Thank you for this thought today. I have been having a hard time concentrating on my prayers and reading my bible since my husband got cancer months ago which is terminal. I thought it was just me but I guess when we are stressed it becomes difficult to concentrate. I still make time to read the daily devotions but that seems to be where it ends.
    Thank you again.

    Dear Rosemary,
Thank you for writing and sharing all the burdens that life bring our way. Who was it that said, when we are young, life gives more and more. But as we get older, it [life] takes more and more. On one hand, it seems that way! But when we recall God’s faithfulness and His burden-carrying nature, we find strength “just in time” for the duties ahead.
    God bless you!

Bless you Rosemary. Sometimes life’s difficulties takes us right away from God. There’ve been times in my life when the struggles have made it impossible to even pray. That’s when others have to pray for us; and we remember that God is always with us even when He seems far away. We may leave Him but He never leaves us.
    Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

So nice to ‘hear’ from you again, Rosy. I can relate!!
Sad to hear of your husband’s health challenges. It is hard to look after someone who has always been strong and capable. I knew your mother had frail health, and is so fortunate to have you to care about, and for her. Hang in there!
God really does gives us the strength that we need, as we need it.
Praying His comfort and guidance always.

    Hi Rosy,
The minute I started to read I suspected that this one of your writings. I am glad you are back.
I am glad you wrote this one. You are right, there are times when we just seem to be so busy with one thing and another that we fail to spend proper time reflecting.
I wish you and yours all the best and was glad to see that your mother is coping well.
    Blessings.

    Good morning.Rosemary,
Just before opening your message today, I was thinking of how my father used to say ‘Tempus fugit’. Then when I saw the title on your thought for today! How true it is; I seem to waste so many hours, just thinking, and perhaps lamenting, about my life and all my aches and pains!
My children are very good to me, and I thank God for them all.
And thank you for your encouraging thoughts and prayers. My prayers are with you.
    Blessings.

Some prayers for you, your husband, and your mother and the rest of your family, God bless.
